Hawkesbury Valley has been involved with Operation Christmas Child, Samaritan’s Purse, for over 10 years and packed and sent over 5,000 boxes.
Operation Christmas Child (OCC) is a project of Samaritan’s Purse. It partners with local churches in developing nations to reach out to children by providing gift-filled shoeboxes and bringing the Good News of Jesus Christ. After receiving shoebox gifts, many children are also invited back to participate in The Greatest Journey – an evangelism and discipleship program.
Our prayer is that the practical, healthy and loving gifts in the boxes represent the love of Christ and open the door for local churches to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ.
This mission has a core team of people who are passionate and dedicated to leading this ministry and spend the year slowly, steadily investing their time and resources.
