Prayer at HVBC

“I will fill them with joy in my house of prayer … because my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.”

The purpose of prayer at HVBC is to unify the body under Christ through fellowship with Him.

HVBC seeks to provide opportunities for the body to connect through prayer with each other and with God. We want prayer to be woven through every event, every life, and every relationship at HVBC. We want God’s people to take the blessing of prayer out into the world to encourage, to heal, and to bring salvation. We want all people everywhere to experience the joy, the fellowship, the healing, and the daily effectiveness of prayer in relationship with Jesus Christ.

Prayer Monday is a church-wide commitment to pray and fast. It is the call of God for every person, each Monday, to seek God and pray for His will to be done in us, in the church and in the world. “The measure of continued believing prayer will be the measure of the Spirit’s working in the church.” (Andrew Murray)

As part of the focus on Monday, prayer services led by the church leaders will be held monthly. It will continue to be creative and engaging in the many forms of prayer and worship that enrich Christ’s church. HVBC will continue to pursue being “a house of prayer.”

Prayer is also a part of meeting together - in services, home groups, and as friends.

Prayer for personal needs is also available for anyone after each of our two services on Sundays (9.30am and 5.00pm). You can also email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. at any time.
